Most food businesses in Australia now require at least one Food Safety Supervisor. This person is responsible for making sure food safety standards are met and maintained.
Food Safety Supervisor training covers:
- Managing food safety programs
- Monitoring food safety in the workplace
- Implementing safe food handling practices
Once trained, Food Safety Supervisors have the skills to oversee daily food safety processes and ensure their workplace stays safe and compliant.
Upon completion of the knowledge component of the course, a Workplace Supervisor completes an Third Party Observer Report to verify the Food Safety Supervisor has demonstrated the necessary skills required to manage food safety in a health and community environment. If you do not have access to a Workplace Supervisor, don’t worry, EPEC has you covered. We can undertake this assessment via Zoom or Teams, and ensure you are Third Party Report Competent.
Upon completion of the Food Safety Supervisor course, students are awarded with a Statement of Attainment listing the units of competency they have earned. You will also be issued with a Food Safety Supervisor certificate and a wallet sized Food Safety Card to show auditors and potential employers that you are fully qualified as a Food Safety Supervisor.
