When do NSW Food Safety Certificates Expire?
NSW FSS certificates remain valid for five years from the date of issue. If your certificate has recently expired not more than 90 days ago or is still current, you qualify for the recertification pathway. Official registration with the NSW Food Authority as a Certified Food Safety Supervisor
A new physical copy of your NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate will be sent to you by post.

This certificate must be displayed in your food business, as it is a requirement for operating as a Food Safety Supervisor in NSW.

Demonstrated competency in the following Unit/s from an approved Registered Training Organisation:
- SIRRFSA001 – Handle Food Safely in a Retail EnvironmentOR
- SITXFSA005 – Use hygienic practices for food safety AND
  SITXFSA006 – Participate in safe food handling practices
Minimum age of 15 years.
